A short, honest notice.
This describes how Lean Logic Studios handles information on this marketing site, and how we expect to handle it when Shopify apps are listed. It is not legal advice, and it does not invent registrations, certifications, or guarantees we do not have.
Who we are
Lean Logic Studios is a software studio in the United Kingdom. A public contact address is not published on this site yet. When one is listed on the Support page, that address will also be the contact point for privacy requests. This notice will be updated at the same time.
This marketing site
The site is static. We do not run analytics, advertising, social pixels, or session replay. We do not set tracking cookies, and we do not use a marketing-automation form that stores submissions on our own servers.
If you later write to a published studio inbox, we will process the content of that message — and your email address — so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation. We do not sell that information. We keep mail as long as it is useful for the conversation or for a modest studio archive, then delete it in the ordinary course of inbox hygiene.
The host that serves these files (for example Cloudflare, Fly.io, or a similar static host) may keep ordinary web server logs: IP address, user agent, requested URL, and a timestamp. Those logs are for security and reliability. We do not use them to build marketing profiles.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies for advertising or analytics. Your browser may still store its own data (for example a scroll position). That is outside our control.
Future Shopify apps
No Lean Logic Studios app is generally available to install at the date above. When an app is listed on the Shopify App Store, it will process information that Shopify provides so the app can run — typically the shop domain, and the admin data the app’s scopes require.
We will update this notice with app-specific detail (scopes, retention, subprocessors) before an app is generally available. Until then, treat this section as intent, not as a description of a live processing activity. Shopify’s own terms and privacy materials also apply to anything that happens inside a shop.
We do not intend to sell merchant or customer data, and we do not intend to use app data for advertising. Apps are designed to stay in the admin; they are not a vehicle for storefront tracking.
Where information may be stored
When a studio inbox is published, mail will be handled through ordinary email providers. Static hosting and source control may be provided by companies outside the United Kingdom (for example in the United States). That can involve an international transfer. We use established commercial providers rather than running our own infrastructure.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
If we hold personal data about you — most often, because you later emailed a published studio inbox — you can ask us for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to our handling of it, or ask us to restrict it, in the circumstances UK GDPR provides. Use the address listed on the Support page once one exists, and say that the message is a privacy request.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom if you are unhappy with how we handle a request. We would rather fix the issue with you first.
Children
This site is for merchants and agencies. It is not directed at children.
Changes
When the site or our apps change in a way that affects this notice, we will update the date at the top. Material changes to app data handling will be described here before those apps are generally available.
